For Animals Asia

The basket I have donated to Animals Asia in a chevron pattern of black, white, green and orange wires.

One of my fundraising baskets in the ‘Weaving for Wildlife’ series.

This basket was woven specifically for Animals Asia. The black, white, green and orange colour scheme was inspired by their logo and the colours of their website. It took nearly 50 hours to complete and was the first one of this size that I have tackled.

I am a huge admirer of Animals Asia and the incredible work they are doing to help bring an end to bear bile farming (amongst other campaigns). It’s an honour to be able to help them with their fundraising in this way and I hope to be able to weave more for them in the future.

We didn’t do much walking during the time I was weaving this one, so the on-location shots are restricted to one day of weaving on the rocks at Connelly’s Marsh, on Tasmania’s east coast.

Biography

Not many images for this one, sadly!
